Job title: Cashier/Stocker - Middle Job description: Once a student is assigned a location it is rare that they are moved. Males will be lifting and moving large boxes so you should be large build and carry upwards of 50 pounds. Most boxes range in sizes from 12"x24" to 36"x36". You will have to be able to lift and carry these boxes without assistance. You may be trained in and required to do one or all of the following: cashiering, stocking, pricing, folding merchandise and cleaning both inside and outside the stores, including bathrooms. All guys are required to be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly; you will most likely have additional duties transporting stock from the warehouse to the various stores. Also, guys may work a few days a week in the warehouse.
Second Job: NO. It is difficult to find a second job in the area. Not impossible, but difficult. In most cases, there are many other businesses around the stores though.

As long as there is no damages to your assigned housing and you have full filled your work and housing commitment and return your key you will be refunded in cash by your manager upon inspection of the property the day you leave. Lost or stolen keys or any key that is not returned you will be charged $20 each.

Utilities included: Cable, water, electric & gas are included in the student's rental. You must provide your own sheets, towels and pillows. The beds are all twin size & it is a mattress on the floor, not on a bed frame. If you would like a frame, you will have to purchase that yourself. You may choose to bring your own sheets/towels/pillows from home, or wait & buy them once you arrive at Walmart or Kmart. You can pick them up for about $20-25 dollars total.

Transportation details: walk or ride a bike. Some of you may live with managers or others who have cars, in which case you can check with them about riding to work together if you have similar schedules.
Location of work site: Ocean Location details: The Outer Banks is mostly a summer resort area, but we are much like a very small town. You do have to drive to grocery stores, recreation facilities etc., from certain areas. To all other areas, you can easily walk or ride your bike. No public transportation (except for taxis) & no clubs/pubs. There are a few local bars, but other than that, there are just restaurants and/or bars in hotels. If you enjoy the ocean and all it has to offer, this is the place for you. You are always within 1 mile or so of the water to the east and the west. |
